The tempest filter range are designed and tested for shielded room requirements,
for attenuation from 100kHz – 1GHz at 80dB, this range of filters will also keep
attenuating up to 40GHz and beyond.
Shield rooms require high levels of attenuation to ensure no conducted / radiated emissions are either imported or exported from the room. The filters come in 2, 3 or 4 line formats and have current ratings up to 3000Amps per phase. Transient suppression can be added as an option to the filters to give protection against induced transients from EMP sources.
These ranges of low power dissipation filters can be mounted on the equipment wall,
as they are the feed through bulkhead filters. They are used in the multiple applications,
for providing the EMI/ RFI protection. They are the compact rugged size and high
performance filter as they have the RF sealed networks, with the high quality electro
tin plated covers.
They also have the feature of insertion loss for both the off and on load conditions. Less leakage current is because of the discrete line inductor technology, which efficiently works for delivering the higher performance of the pulse handling applications in the EMP protection.
For maximized performance, the current must be reached to the filter. They have the solid earthling of the cover, but must be installed with proper care, as they are sensitive for orientation.
